Scott, Erin, Mary Cameron, Jackson, and Baby Peanut, + a giant dog and an obese hamster.
4 years of marriage have brought us three kids from two continents, two pets of two species, and a deep deep love for each other, Jesus, and Africa. We spend our days shaking up our corner-of-the-world's notions of what a family should look like, and doing our best to give grace to the mockers and the gawkers.
We laugh. We sniggle. We dance during dinner. We are abundantly blessed.
More to come.... (adventures AND people AND creatures, I imagine.... stay tuned.)

So here is my problem...I will forgo the the cup from Starbucks, the expensive shoes, eating out, going to the movies ect. thinking of those who are hungry, naked, and homeless...but that's not enough...I need to be more diligent about taking the money I would have spent and giving it. It's not that I don't give...but I often find my self "depriving"(and trust me I use that word VERY loosely) myself of stuff, thinking about how that money would be better used someplace else...then don't give it to that someplace else. I have got to find a way to be purposeful about it...like maybe instead of saying, "we are not going to go out to eat after church today." We need to say, "instead of going out to eat today, we are going to take the money we would have spent and send it to someone in need." That would transform so many lives, including our family. I have just found that if we are not INTENTIONAL in giving...then all my good intentions about the poor, orphaned, and the widow...well you know where they lead.
Thanks for the video Erin...and I hope you are feeling better :)
